Did you opt out of SERPS?
If you were working between 1987 and 2002, you may also have opted out of SERPS (State Earnings Related Pension Scheme). If you did, you may well have some pension provision that you’re not aware of. These payments will have been made (and still may be paid) directly from your National Insurance contributions, so you may not know about them. It’s possible you could have accumulated quite a substantial fund.
Let us find your missing pension funds
Channel One offers a very successful pension tracing service. We have uncovered thousands of pounds worth of missing pension funds for our clients. One client in Castleford, for example, had lost track of a fund which he thought was worth around £7,000. When we traced it we found it was actually worth £50,000.
As you can see, it could be well worth getting in touch. If you don’t like dealing over the internet and in the post we can always meet up with you face to face, take down a few basic facts before we use our extensive resources to track down your fund.
